Holy Humor/Bring a Friend to Church

Bring a Friend to Church/Holy Humor Sunday, April 8, 10:15 AM

On Sunday April 8 we want to fill our Church with friends and laughter. The Outreach Committee has designated the Holy Humor Sunday service as Bring a Friend to Church Day. It is a perfect service for friends who often say or think that if they went to Church, they would come to ours. Plus, there’s added incentive—POTLUCK after worship!  Experience our good spirit and welcoming nature among friends Sunday, April 8. Small children are encouraged!

One Sunday, a young child was “acting up” during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle.       Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, “Pray for me! Pray for me!”

All joking aside, we want to let the community know where our Church is located and that everyone is welcome. One of the best ways to accomplish these goals is by word of mouth, inviting people we know–and anyone else–to come and experience how wonderful and welcoming our Church is.
